Do you know why many people never achieve the goals they set for one reason: The number reason is that they give up much too quickly. When you go about setting your goals, remember that nothing worth achieving typically comes quick or easy. Prepare yourself to have a mindset of tenacity, persistence, and a little good old fashioned elbow grease. Here are a few guidelines to make achieving your goals easier. Clearly define what the goal is You never here successful people give vague or confusing objectives related to their goals. Achievers have definitive, concise, and very clear ideas of what it is that they want. It's not enough to say you want a lot of money or want to be thin. Define how much money or how much weight you want to lose. Give yourself a time frame to achieve the goal in If you say "When I get around to it.", then you're setting yourself up to slack off. Activities typically tend to fit to the amount of time given to achieve them. Give yourself deadlines for the action steps needed to get your personal development goals accomplished. Make a checklist of action steps Have a success checkpoints of what it will take to know when you've reached your goal. This way you know EXACTLY what needs to be done, and you define what it means to have success at each step of the process. It also helps you to track and allows you to see where improvements can be made. Take consistent action Just doing one or two of the action steps is not enough. You should put in a little time every day if possible and really focus on getting the steps you defined done. It may not get done quickly, but consistent action sets the tone and cements your actions towards becoming a habit. Once you install good behaviors in your psyche as habits, then it won't even seem like you are doing work any more. It will be a way of life for you, and a fun way to accomplish your goals. Enjoy the journey Many times you won't remember the achievement of your goals as much as you will the work and experiences you had to get there along the way. Once you've achieved your goal, take time to reflect a little bit. Look back over the time and effort you put in to get there. Give yourself a pat on the back and try to maintain the progress you've made for the better in your life. A little bit of time and effort will always go a long way as long as you practice persistence in your self improvement goals. Stick with it! Quotes for the day: "Better to light one small candle than to curse the
darkness."
"As long as we are persistence in our pursuit of our
deepest destiny, we will continue to grow. We cannot choose the day or
time when we will fully bloom. It happens in its own time."
"The only real security in life lies in relishing life's
insecurity."
